Adonal Foyle Will Be Missed, Not Really

Foyle won't miss Dwight Howard's mexican lunches
The Orlando Magic traded for point guard Rafer Alston just in front of last week’s deadline. That deal sent seldom-used center Adonal Foyle to Memphis. The big man didn’t want to leave without saying good-bye, so he took out a full page ad in the Orlando Sentinel thanking fans for the support. The Magic faithful would like to respond with a full page ad of their own reading simply “Who are you?”
Foyle evidently made his mark off the court, working with numerous charitable foundations. On the court, his 5 minutes per game and literal single-single, 1 point, 1 board, won’t be missed. Long time fan favorites take out newspaper ads when they are traded away because fans will sincerely miss watching them play. Foyle played in Orlando for a season and a half and I use the term ‘played’ loosely.
I’m sure Adonal signed his share opf autographs during his time in Orlando. I mean, if you’re 7-feet tall, you can’t really walk around with Magic gear on and not get mistaken for Dwight Howard eventually. He may have even been a favorite player to a small contingent of fans. Like how the walk-ons for college teams always recieve loud ovations when they get to play.
At no point could Foyle be confused with a full page ad caliber player, however. I think it’s great that he wants to thank the people who paid money to watch a team he was a small part of play, but he needs to stay within his range. At best, he’s a Craigslist ad player. His ad can appear next to the single white female with two kids who is wondering if there are any nice guys left out there.

This was written in bad taste. The people whom he helped or that needed help are more impacted than the fans.
After-all, would you rather a selfish non-caring Superstar or a generous kindhearted Bench warmer? Who has the more positive impact on society?
