After rubbing Sherron Collins, Leo Lyons tries to jam talent back into head

One of the biggest stories to emerge out of this weekend’s slate of college basketball games was the annihilation of the Missouri Tigers at the hands of rival Kansas.  Although the game was played in Lawrence, the previously top-ten ranked Tigers shocked their fans and many experts by being crushed by 25.  The Mizzou faithful have been looking for answers following the loss to explain why their team laid such a monstrous egg and finally one has emerged.  The Tigers’ team bus crashed just hours before the team took the floor.

Missouri officials called the accident “minor” and “inconsequential” at the time, but would like to amend those statements to now read “the most jarring and tragic accident in athletics”.  Marshall, Oklahoma State and the “Boom Goes the Dynamite” kid beg to differ.

It stands to reason that Missouri would need an excuse for the debacle that occurred at Phog Allen Fieldhouse Sunday.  They wouldn’t want to admit that they are an over-rated team that was simply outmatched.  But it is possible that this bus crash cost them a season sweep over the Jayhawks.

Consider that 1 out of every 6 major traffic accidents could possibly temporarily rob individuals of their talent, maybe, as reported by the Bootlegger Sports Journal of Conceivable Medical Excuses.  No one can deny that the Tigers played like a team with no talent.  The only question now is how long before their wounds heal and their talent returns.
