Smush Parker is Still Alive?

Monday, March 16th, 2009 | Dylan

If you’re like me, you sometimes lay in bed staring up at the team photo of the 2006-2007 LA Lakers and wonder, who the hell put that on my ceiling.  You may also wonder what ever happened to Smush Parker.  Well, the legend is alive and… well he’s alive and graciously granting interviews to prestigious and credible journalists like Boobie Smooth.  You may remember he was finalist for the CBS Evening News anchor position until Katie Couric slept with one of the producers.

Smush does not shy away from Mr. Smooth’s tough questioning and doesn’t hesitate to tell his millions of fans around the globe that he hates Kobe Bryant.  And why shouldn’t he?  One of them is a legend and the other one is not.  Boobie told me in this interview that Smush is a legend, and Boobie speaks the truth.  If you disagree, consider this, which Laker had his name mentioned in the same sentence as God more times in 2007, Kobe or Smush?  I don’t care if it was follwed by damn it.

I don’t want to give away the ending of this story, but when Smush tells you there are some un-named teams with interest in signing him, there’s not really.  It’s a tell tale sign when you load up his nba.com bio and there’s a picture of him in an NBDL jersey.  Also, the highlight package of him playing in streetball games is a dead giveaway.  Tragically, Smush is just too much balla for the NBA.

I’d love to tell you more about the life of times of the man called Smush, but I’ve promised to give Boobie Smooth an interview about the Hornets game I went to that one time.  Rasual Butler is finally going to get his come-uppance.
