Kyle Farnsworth Caught PITA’s Attention

Training against dogs makes fights against Reds easier
The trending of the Internet tends to move quickly. One day, everyone wanted to compare Donte Stallworth’s 30-day prison sentence to Michael Vick’s 19-months. Then, everyone wanted to tell everyone else to stop with that lame comparison already. That’s fair considering their crimes are so drastically different, unlike say comparing a drunken, fatal car accident to another drunken, fatal car accident (ahem).
For those who just can’t stop comparing a professional athlete’s actions to that of Mike Vick, I give you Kyle Farnsworth. The Royals’ reliever is best known for his form tackle of Paul Wilson or his pants, so tight you can take his heart-rate through his in-seam… not that you’d want to (cough). Either way, it certainly isn’t for his pitching and coincidentally, this story isn’t about that either. Farnsworth says he will be able to pitch after getting 4 stitches in his left index finger, which is his non-throwing hand and finger. Considering I already hinted that this story could be tied in to Vick, go ahead and take a guess on how he cut that finger.
If you said playing football or working a construction site, you’re way off. If you said pissing off PITA, you get partial credit. Farnsworth says he was bitten by one of his American Bulldogs when he tried to seperate them during a fight. What? Dog-fighting? Sound the moral indignation horn!
The story Farnsworth is going with is that the dogs started fighting over the affection on one of his children. Wait, now there’s a kid in the dog-fighting ring? Dear God, he’s history’s greatest monster.
He was bitten when he “reached in and started grabbing dogs and throwing dogs… that’s how I start my mornings off. Wrestling with bulldogs.” So there you go. Explain to me why Kyle Farnsworth isn’t on trial. Is it better to pit dogs against human competitors in a fight than to let make them fight each other? Is it more socially acceptable to allow your kid to start the fights? Is Kyle Farnsworth really any different from Michael Vick? Yes, like night and day, you say? Well then, sorry to have wasted your time.
