Jay Cutler Could Ruin 3 Teams This Year

Laugh it up, you're the bringer of doom
When Jay Cutler threw his little hissy fit in Denver earlier this year and demanded a trade, it seemingly doomed the Broncos and first year head coach Josh McDaniels to a terrible, forgettable season. Now, Cutler has a chance to start fresh and find success in Chicago, but based on his track record it’s probably more likely that he underachieves and misses the playoffs. But that’s only two teams he’s affected, or infected, this year, you might say. I promised you three in the headline, didn’t I? Well, what about the University of Georgia? Cutler might be screwing them pretty good too.
It seems the former Vanderbilt QB sent 4 tickets to fellow SEC signal caller Matt Stafford last season for a Broncos-Falcons game. I don’t pretend to be an expert on NCAA rules, but anytime anyone who is currently in college receives anything that might bring them joy and has any conceivable monetary value, it’s probably a violation. Oh hey, I’m right.
The NFL Players Association actually tipped off the university as they were concerned one of the four players who used the tickets had some illegal contact with an agent. I don’t think they meant that to sound as gay as I just did. But maybe…maybe. Anyway, no agent on amateur player action is said to have taken place and Stafford and other former Bulldogs are just having to pay the price the tickets, $40, to the Boys and Girls Club in the form of a donation. So they got to see an NFL game and now are getting a tax deduction, nice punishment, NCAA.
So, Cutler may not be responsible for destroying the Georgia Bulldogs this year, Knowshon Moreno and Stafford going pro may have taken care of that anyway, but he certainly has affected them negatively. The only way he could be a worse person for a football team to have contact with is if he had swine flu, which I fully expect to be reported within the next month.
