Mad Dog Over-Pays Someone Else, For A Change

Evidently, this is worth millions
Los Angeles Clippers forward Mark Madsen has played in 453 games during his 9 years in the NBA. He’s averaging 2.2 points and 2.6 rebounds per game. He has more turnovers than assits. He’s made one three pointer. He’s also made more than $11-million. That includes more than $127-thousand per game last season. Sure, he had to live in Minnesota to do it, but for $2.5 million I’d live in Zach Randolph’s toilet for a year.
The point here is obviously that NBA players are overpaid. Kobe, LeBron and other superstars make a truckload of money, but they sacrifice their bodies and put butts in the seats. Mark Madsen only sacrifices his body if he accidentally hits himself in the face with the towel he’s waving. The only butt he puts in the seats is his own. I’m not trying to criticize Madsen, who is surely one of the luckiest men in America. He may have even supplanted Brian Austin Greene at the top of that list. I’m actually trying to look out for the guy. See, Mad Dog was recently duped into spending $110k on a stolen Web address. I’ll spare you the details of how to steal a Web site and instead simply say, $110-thousand? I think we spent whatever change we could dig out of the couch and car seats for this URL. And Mark already appears to own markmadsen.com. So what could he possibly want so badly that he’d pay more than $100-grand…or even more than $100 period. Reportedly, p2p.com. Wow, this story better have some boobs coming soon because it just got really boring in here.
Apparently, Madsen is some sort of Internet speculator. He buys up domain names that he thinks will be attractive to companies down the line, then sells them off for profit. I think that practice usually works better when you buy low, like for less than $100k, however. For instance, he sold denial.com for $6100 about a year ago. He’s also sold off CaliforniaDUILawyers.com, FreeCreditChecks.com and menstrualperiods.ca. That’s not what I had in mind when I asked for more boobs in this story.
Well, I guess Madsen has his career all planned out when teams finally tire of paying him for nothing. I would suggest that he stop over-paying for domain names he’s planning on selling, however. Right after he gives me the check for bootleggersports.com
