That girl from Lost in Translation always makes me tired

That girl from Lost in Translation always makes me tired

Remember when Cubs fans could good-naturedly accept losing and failure with the realistic expectation that their hearts would regularly be broken just as sure as another reprieve from Chicago winters was coming to a close?  Well for most Cubs fans, those days seem (sadly?) long gone.  Instead, replaced with delusional hope followed by angry bitterness.  <notqualifiedtocomment>

While the rest of the league may participate in variations of the Wildcat formation, the Eagles are going Bill and Ted and running the Wyld Stallyns.  I have no idea WTF this is all about, but any time I get to write about or link to a Bill and Ted related sports story I’m going to.  Plus it’s better than calling it the Wild Dog, amiright (nudge nudge wink)?  Be excellent to each other.  <insidetheiggles>

A list of the 10 biggest attention whores in sports.  Do I appreciate the irony of giving these people more attention because of their love of attention?  No.  And you can shut up.  <theworldofisaac>

The good Mr. Clapp informs us that even though we’ve lost Alyssa Milano, Krystal Forscutt has re-entered the singles scene.  So while I’m getting shot down by the girl that speaks Spanish and takes my order at McDonald’s, I can remember that it’s okay, because an Australian supermodel is also single, and so I didn’t want to be tied down anyway.  Always looking on the bright side, this one is.  <sharapovasthigh>

The two creators of AutoTune the News were on CNN.  I found the video, because that’s what kind of time I have on my hands.  If you woke up at 5:30 every morning and searched the Internet for things other than porn you might one day be this cool too.

Send story ideas and link tips to bootleggersports@gmail.com.  And suggestions for link dump pictures are always welcome.

Hahaha, your analysis of the Cubs fan conundrum is completely on point. At least when I used to say “this is the year” in spring training, I mostly knew it was BS. Now I believe it, and that makes the heartache all the rougher.

I agree. Cub fans think EVERY year is their year now.

“Daddy, I want you to go back and win another super bowl.” I have now lost all desire to help other people.
