Ron Artest is A Damn Genius

It seems as if everyday I’m reading another story with a central theme of ‘rich athlete doesn’t appreciate what he has.’  Whether someone is demanding more money to play a game for a living or an athlete getting mixed up with the wrong kind of people, the one story that angers me most about someone having it all at their fingertips and throwing it all away is Tim Tebow’s virginity.  He’s the most famous figure in college football, maybe ever, and he goes to school at Florida.  It boggles the mind the kind of resume he could be putting together.  We’re talking Quagmire-type numbers here, except replace the skanks with sweet Floridian co-eds.

Thankfully, Ron Artest is here to show us all how to act like a rich, privileged athlete.  RonRon recently agreed to an interview with Sports Illustrated so naturally he set up his own photo shoot with a smoking hot model to coincide.  So how do these two events relate to each other?  Because answering questions about yourself is hard and after taking these photos, so was Artest.

The NBA should be thankful they have a role model like Artest around to show all the young rookies how to live with their new found fortune and fame.  If they just follow his lead, they’ll know that if someone throws a beer at you, you should get into a fight with someone who was standing in the vicinity of the person who threw it.  And, if you have to give an interview, make it an enjoyable experience for yourself and an extremely uncomfortable experience for everyone else involved.

I’m sure there will be some people out there that will condemn this photo session as another in a long line of crazy Artest antics.  But if you can tell me what exactly is crazy about hiring a lingerie model to take pictures on your lap while you are being interviewed about basketball, I’d sure like to hear it.   I’ll be waiting.
