Oklahoma State Lights Up Baylor…Get It?
The Oklahoma State football team routed Baylor 34-7 on Saturday thanks in no small part to this fancy light display. You might be asking, ‘how does a light display help a football team win a game?’ You, of course, would be missing the point and the obviously more pertinent question: ‘why would anyone make a light display for a football team…especially one about to play Baylor?’
The answer is likely that no one wants to spend hours of their time on something, only to hate it and regret their decision to make it in the first place. That’s what would happen if you spent time making, say, a light display that cheered on your favorite team and they ended up losing the game. That’s a real risk anytime you put an effort into something like this. Unless of course, your favorite team is playing Baylor. Because they are bad, you see. Bad like bear rape.
It’s times like these I think we should all take a step back and thank the Baylors of the world. They allow us to cheer with confidence that we won’t be filled with shame and tear-filled beer after the game. Instead, we’ll be filled with jubilant alcohol…and eventually shame. No matter how poorly our team plays and how embarrassing our losses, we will always have ‘at least we’re better than Baylor.’ Unless of course you cheer for Baylor, then you have ‘at least we’re better than Washington State.’
