Billy Gillespie is Honest, Picky

Kentucky and Ole Miss got together on the basketball court last night for a nationally televised game.  Mississsippi took down the Wildcats 85-80.  Those Rebels have really been playing well since their coach started beating cab drivers and stopped humping his wife.  But the most interesting part of the evening, since it certainly isn’t SEC basketball, was UK coach Billy Gillespie’s shocking honesty for ESPN’s Jeanine Edwards.

As you can see in the above video, Gillespie delivered his critique in a calm and gentlemanly way, so how can you be mad at the guy?  It’s very understandable why he was upset… Jeanine Edwards isn’t Erin Andrews.  It’s that simple.

Imagine you’re a head coach for a game played on ESPN.  You’re thinking, my team is going to really be amped up for this, the crowd should be loud and I’ll get to talk to Erin Andrews.  Then halftime rolls around and BAM… not Erin Andrews.  Billy Clyde is a professional so he kept his disappointment and rage well concealed, but less seasoned coaches might have just spit in Jeanine’s face and ran away screaming.

Edwards must be used to it also, considering she took the verbal bitch slap in stride and kept on with the interview.  Nothing against you Jeanine, but if a man has his mind set on Erin Andrews, you just aren’t going to measure up.
